October 2013 - Monthly Meeting

Tuesday, October 8, 2013
5:30 - 7:00 pm

First United Methodist Church, Room 21, Basement
420 N Nevada Ave.
Colorado Springs, CO 80903

Our speaker was from Sak Saum. Ginny Hanson is the International Director of Sak Saum and she was there along with our friend from other presentations, Erika Dickson.
Sak Saum exists to offer rescue, rehabilitation and restoration to vulnerable women in Cambodia. Sak Saum believes in restoration of the whole person. The girls receive vocational training through sewing skills and are fully equipped after the one year program to support themselves.
Sak Saum promotes fair trade by selling these handmade products around the world. The product is a by product of a changed life. We always enjoy seeing their new products and the beautiful craftsmanship they use on purses, and having the opportunity to donate to their cause and go home with a special bag!

Our meetings are open to organizations and individuals who are interested in stopping
Modern Day Slavery, especially in our community.
