Our speaker was Professor Aditi Mitra. Aditi Mitra is a professor at UCCS. As a Sociologist, her research and teaching revolves around social justice, social movements, gender inequality and structural oppression in the global arena, with special focus on women's social problems. She was born in India, but raised and educated not only in India but in the middle east, Europe and the U.S.. Dr. Mitra has volunteered for several women's and children's organization in India, including working with Nobel Laureate Mother Teresa's orphanages. Currently, she is writing a book manuscript on women's social activism in India.

Title of the talk was: "The Global Impact of Human-Trafficking and our Human Reactions"

                    Our meetings are open to organizations and individuals who are interested in stopping
                    Modern Day Slavery, especially in our community.
