December 2016 - Monthly Meeting

Tuesday, December 13, 2016
5:30 - 7:00 pm

First United Methodist Church, Room 21, Basement
420 N Nevada Ave.
Colorado Springs, CO 80903

Our guest speaker was Allison R. Myers MA, NCC, LPCc, an addictions counselor who joined Street's Hope in November of 2014 as a Clinical Intern and then transitioned into the Program Director position in early 2015. Her responsibilities include overseeing residential and non-residential programming elements, providing supervision to undergraduate and graduate level interns for social work, advocacy and treatment planning, enforcing program compliance, assisting with intake and discharge of clients, and establishing and maintaining relationships with external collaborators and community agencies. Allison is uniquely qualified to work with this very under-served population because of her cross-training in counseling and human services with an emphasis in addictions and further emphasis in community mental health services. She has 6.5+ years of experience working with non-profit organizations and treatment teams while bringing her own compassion and resilience to the leadership staff.
