January 2017 - Monthly Meeting

Tuesday, January 10, 2017
5:30 - 7:00 pm

First United Methodist Church, Room 21, Basement
420 N Nevada Ave.
Colorado Springs, CO 80903

Participants were invited to join us Tuesday, January 10th as we opened up the new year with a review of the history of the Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado. Betty Edwards, founder and chair emeritus, and Roger Patrizio, current chairman of the task force co-presented this session. We shared how the task force came into existence, how initiative and collaboration has led to achievement along with a purposeful state wide role in the Colorado fight against human trafficking. We also reviewed our current status, 2017 goals, partnerships and dreams for the future. We made announcements, comments and took questions from the audience. This was the first meeting of our 10th year discussing human trafficking in Colorado Springs. Please know that your presence sharpened who we are as a task force and inspired us to continue this battle against abuse and slavery. Each one of you contributes to who we are and where we are going.

Our meetings are open to organizations and individuals who are interested in stopping
Modern Day Slavery, especially in our community.
