Our guest speaker was Mary Jean HcHugh, the Outreach Case Manager from Urban Peak.

Mary Jean relocated to Colorado Springs, from New York City in the spring of 2015 and joined the Urban Peak Colorado Springs Team November of 2015.

Mary Jean has worked in Social Services for over 11 years, having begun her career path as a Client Services Supervisor with the American Red Cross Family Respite Center in Greater NYC in 2000, working with homeless women and their children. Taking a small break from NYC after 9/11, Mary Jean relocated to Woodstock, NY and began working with Family House, an Adolescent Residential Program of Family Of Woodstock, serving runaway and homeless youth, first as a Case Manager and then as a Program Director for many years.

Mary Jean also worked with Planned Parenthood as the Ulster County Education Site Coordinator, in New Platz, NY providing programs and workshops to youth and youth community groups addressing topics such as HIV/AIDS Awareness, STI/Pregnancy Prevention, Healthy Relationships, etc.

                    Our meetings are open to organizations and individuals who are interested in stopping
                    Modern Day Slavery, especially in our community.
