Our guest speaker was Dan O'Bryant

Dan O'Bryant is an advocate in the battle against sex trafficking. As a 2015-16 Fellow at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University, he gave presentations and did research on the topic, returning as an Associate for the Fall 2016 term. He served as the Chairman of the Board of anti-trafficking NGO Shared Hope International from 2013 remains on the Board. SHI is an international leader in the fight to bring an end sex trafficking, particularly of children. In September of 2017, he joined the Board of Directors of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation. NCOSE has become the leading national organization shining a light on the links between all forms of sexual exploitation and on the public health crisis of pornography.
Holding a Juris Doctor degree from Drake University, he served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the United States Air Force, serving as a prosecutor, as Area Defense Counsel, and as a Law Professor at the USAF Academy. In 2003-4 O'Bryant was a candidate for the US Senate from Colorado. Most recently, he served as one of three principals in the The Eickmann Group, a defense consulting firm.
His most recent speaking engagements in 2018 included The Samaritan Women's "Christian Abolitionists Symposium" at The Museum of the Bible and the National Center on Sexual Exploitation's "End Exploitation Summit", also in Washington, DC. His 2017 presentations included the NCOSE US Capitol Symposium: "The Freedom from Sexploitation Agenda; Policy Recommmendations on Sex Trafficking, Sexual Violence, Child Exploitation & Pornography." He was also the keynote speaker at the Harvard Intercollegiate Convention Against Modern Slavery.
O'Bryant lives in Colorado Springs with his wife of 42 years, Donna. They have three children, and eight grandchildren.
